We are always excited about meeting new patients during their first visit to our office. Your initial appointment will consist of a thorough examination and a discussion of potential treatment options. We may take a 3D scan of your teeth and the skull at this visit to be enable Dr. Bhagia to accurately diagnose any issues and come up with a customized treatment plan This important visit will give us insight into your orthodontic needs. We know your time is valuable, so to expedite treatment, we may also reserve time following the exam for completing diagnostic records which include X-rays, intra-oral pictures and/or spacers if indicated. The 3D scan we take produces digital dental impressions and will eliminate the need to take uncomfortable alginate impressions.
Prior to your visit we request that you fill out the online New patient information forms which will save you time at the office and make the appointment go smoothly. Please also provide us your complete dental insurance information (if you have any coverage) so that we may verify your insurance benefits prior to your coming into the office and can provide you the accurate treatment cost.
During the initial examination for each patient, Dr. Bhagia will address the following questions that cover the basics of orthodontic treatment. We encourage you to ask questions as well.
- Is there a condition that orthodontics can address?
- Is treatment needed now or should treatment be delayed until appropriate growth, tooth eruption or other factors have occurred?
- What treatment procedures will be used to correct the problem?
- Do any permanent teeth need to be removed?
- How long will treatment take?
Our treatment coordinator will then discuss treatment options, time frames and financial arrangements including interest free payment plans. Also, we will answer any additional questions you may have.
